Folder Gluer Technician

Job Description

Location: Garner, NC

Pay: $18-$20/hour

Shifts:

6:00am to 4:30pm

5:30am to 4:00pm

DAYS OF THE WEEK WORKED WILL ROTATE EACH MONTH

MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK SUNDAY

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for setting up and production running of Folder/Gluer

· Machine knowledge including feeder, glue systems, delivery, and bar code readers

· Experience with both straight line and auto lock boxes

· Ability to read customer specifications, job tickets and follow standard operating procedures

· Set up and fine tuning of equipment to reduce stops during operation

· Set up, adjust and repair equipment as needed for smooth and trouble-free operation

· Inspect working parts and be able to recognize those that need replacement

· Perform Quality Checks and maintain optimum quality at all times

· Perform Line Clearance - Clean assigned area by removing all product from line, trash, boxes, and other supplies associated with a completed order

· Be responsible for general maintenance and lubrication of machine

· Assist with housekeeping in the bindery area

· Be thoroughly familiar with all areas of finishing

· Performs job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees

Qualifications

· Three years or more of Folder Gluer Operator experience

· Communication skills

· Administration skills

· Leadership abilities

· Possess a strong work ethic

· Desire to work additional hours (overtime)

· High School diploma or GED required

· Mechanical/technical aptitude

· Entry Level Computer skills
